Socio-eco-friendly jewellery designer - Monique Péan


Jewellery designer Monique Péan creates eco-friendly jewellery from recycled gold and conflict free diamonds. The jewellery also contains remains of walrus, caribou, baleen and twelve thousand year old wooly mammoth ivory. This ivory materials are discovered in melting ice caps, thus implying the effects of global warming. Furthermore, 10% of profits from Monique Péan's Bering Collection go to the Alaska Native Arts Foundation, which is involved in training the next generation of Alaska Native artists and fighting to preserve a disappearing culture and natural landscape.
